Daimer Introduces New Industrial Steam Cleaner

Daimer Industries has launched the KleenJet Ultra 10250CV industrial steam cleaner. It combines a high-capacity, wet/dry vacuum with 25,000 watt steam boiler system and an oversized extraction tank. The cleaner produces 15 times the steam of a 1,600-watt system, reaching pressures of 150 psi and temperatures of 360º F.

Robbins & Myers Announces First Quarter Results

Robbins & Myers, Inc has reported its financial results for the first quarter to November 30, 2009. During the period, the company saw customers orders of $137 million, $48 million lower than in the first quarter of 2009. However, this figure was a $15 million increase over the fourth quarter of 2009. Sales for the period were $129 million, some $49 million less than the comparable period.

Positive Outlook For Hyundai Heavy Industries

Hyundai Heavy Industries is predicting a 67 per cent rise in new orders this year on the back of global economic recovery and increased product demand in the oil and gas sector. The world's largest shipbuilder expects orders worth $17.7 billion for offshore platforms, vessels and other products, compared with $10.6 billion last year. For the shipbuilding industry as a whole, Hyundai Heavy Industries expects 2010 to be a difficult year due to industry overcapacity and a weak financing market.

Han-Kwang Introduces PL Laser Series

Han-Kwang has introduced the Series PL laser system, with Beam Radius Control (BRC), Constant Beam Delivery System (CBDS) and the company's S5 high speed cutting head. The new cutting head increases cutting speeds on sheet metal to up to 1120 IPM for 20ga mild steel and 790 IPM for 16ga stainless. The machine includes ergonomic controls, a plasma monitoring unit for cut error, a crack sensor and a rotary axis for tube cutting.

Dubai Aluminium (Dubal) tapped its first metal in November 1979. The state owned company is one of the largest non-oil contributors to the local economy. Commercial production began the following January, with "the entire planned production volume of 135,000 metric tonnes per annum having been pre-sold in North America," says President and CEO Abdulla J M Kalban.
